Were you a Warm Windows customer?
Warm Windows Limited went into liquidation in February 2026. I was their service technician from 2019 to 2024 — if you had a service call in those years, there's a fair chance I'm the person who came to your house.
I know the profiles, I know the Roto hardware inside them, and I know which parts are still available, because I spent five years ordering them. Everyone else you ring will want to quote you for replacement windows. I just fix the broken one.

If something has broken, photograph the break
The exact spot — the snapped part, the crack, the piece that's come away.

If it won't do something, show me that
Won't close? Photograph the gap where it should meet the frame. Handle won't turn? Show how far it goes before it stops. Dropped and catching? Show where it catches. A short video works even better than a photo here.

Questions I get asked
Can you honour my Warm Windows warranty?
No, and neither can anyone else. When a company is liquidated its warranty goes with it — which is why every company advertising to former Warm Windows customers ends up offering the same thing: new windows.
So my work is paid work, and I won't pretend otherwise. But a handle, a hinge, a gearbox or a lock strip is a small job. Being told you need a whole new window usually isn't true.
What is included in a uPVC window service?
A uPVC window service includes checking the locks, hinges and multipoint mechanisms, followed by the cleaning, lubrication and adjustment they need. This helps windows close correctly, reduces strain on handles and gearboxes, and can catch worn parts before they fail. I provide uPVC window servicing and maintenance across Auckland.
Are you Warm Windows?
No. I worked there as a service technician from 2019 to 2024, and that's the whole relationship. I have no connection to the company now, or to whoever holds the brand.
Can you still get parts for these windows?
Usually, yes. The Roto hardware in this joinery has been in production a long time, and the common parts — gearboxes, hinges, handles, strikers, restrictors — are still made and still available in New Zealand.
Worth knowing, because "they don't make parts for those any more" is the standard opening line from someone who'd rather sell you a new window.
What's it going to cost?
It depends entirely on what's broken, so anyone quoting you a number over the internet is guessing. What I can promise is no surprises: I tell you the price before I start, you decide there and then, and nothing gets touched until you've agreed it.

How soon can you get here?
Usually within a day or two, Auckland-wide, and often the same evening. If your house isn't secure — a door that won't lock, a window that won't close — tell me when you call and I'll come out after hours.

My windows aren't Warm Windows. Can you still help?
Yes. Most uPVC joinery in New Zealand uses the same European hardware no matter who assembled and installed it. Send a photo of the sash edge and I'll tell you straight away whether it's something I work on.
